Open House Details »

Stroll beautiful Park Avenue and enjoy the cheerful sight of lights sparkling on buildings, tree branches, bushes, and the light poles at major intersections. This evening of free entertainment, seasonal fun, and "open house" hospitality at more than 80 Park Avenue businesses is the perfect time to visit your favorite spots along this wonderful street while making a few new discoveries.

Outdoor festivities throughout the evening from Alexander Street to Culver Road include performances of holiday music, horse-drawn wagon rides, hot roasted chestnuts, holiday characters with candy cane treats, Santa, and so much more. It's a great way to begin your holiday season!

Opening Ceremony at 5:00 PM
The magic begins with an opening ceremony in the Park Avenue Green at Barrington Street. Lighting of the Christmas Tree and Menorah. Children Awaiting Parents will be presented with a holiday donation from Park Avenue Merchants and Neighborhood Associations. Santa Claus arrives by horse-drawn wagon to join in lighting the Christmas tree before greeting guests at Santa's Tent at 600 Park Avenue.

Visit Santa from 5:30 - 9:00 PM
Visit Santa following the opening ceremony until 9:00 PM at 600 Park Avenue. Santa's Tent is a warm spot for children to have their picture taken with Santa.

Pick up your complimentary glow stick or glow necklace from Park Avenue Merchant Association and candy cane from Stever's Candies.

Have your picture taken with Santa by Joseph Pellingra Photography. $5.00 for one 4 x 6 photos with Santa or $10.00 for 3! Look for costumed characters such as: Snowman, Reindeer, and more all along the avenue. You will also see some of Rochester's Team Mascots.
